WHERE TO STAY?

We've reserved blocks of rooms at The ITC Windsor Hotel (a luxurious 5 star hotel), as well as at the Bangalore Golf Club (a delightful 4 star clubhouse) just across the street.  Both are in the heart of the city, and are central to wedding and city attractions.

We have listed below the contact info of the hotel managers who can help you book with the wedding party at group rates.
Just mention the Arun - Das wedding when you make your reservation.

We would suggest you stay in Bangalore the nights of Sept 1st, 2nd and 3rd, checking out on Sept 4th.

HOW TO GET THERE?

Indian Visa Requirements

U.S. citizens DO need a visa to travel to India. The easiest way to get a tourist visa is to get a printable e-visa by following the instructions on the link below. There is a list of nationalities for which the e-visa works. If you have any issues getting a visa, please let us know and we'll see what we can do to help!

Air Travel to India

India is well served by many international carriers, including British Airways, Emirates, Air France, Lufthansa, Etihad, Cathay Pacific (Dragon Air), Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, and Air India, among others.

Flights from the US to India on Emirates or Etihad, via Dubai or Abu Dhabi, respectively, are usually quite comfortable.

There are direct flights from Europe, the Middle East, and Asia to Bangalore, as well as to Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai in India.

Flying into or out of Bangalore is easiest (vs. making a domestic connection).

Air Travel around India

India has good and frequent flights between all major local cities.  We would suggest flights on Jet Airways, or Air Indigo, and Air India.

Travel Around Bangalore

Transportation will be provided from the hotels to all wedding venues.

Uber is the best way to get around Bangalore.  For a local feel, you can try the autorickshaws as well.
